This local one-owner “Model J” has been garage kept and meticulously cared for by its one and only former owner. This remarkable car was purchased right here in DFW at Bill McDavid Pontiac in August of 1970. The original owner special ordered this car with a host of Pontiac's most desirable options including the highest horsepower V8 offered for this model: the “L75” 455CI V8. This engine was rated at a whopping 370HP and when mated to the Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 3.08 rear gears provided the perfect combination of performance and carefree highway cruising. To keep the family comfortable the original owner selected an impressive list of high-end comfort and convenience options from GM's available offering, a list that is quite extensive. The exterior features the incredibly well-preserved Sierra Yellow finish with its original gold Cordova top. On the inside the bucket seats are upholstered in the original patterned fabric, the driver's side is power operated. Other options include power windows and door locks, tilt steering, AM-FM stereo, cold factory air conditioning and rally gauges.
This wonderful example is a time capsule from the 70's and is a pleasure to drive, it is both a powerful and elegant reflection of that special time in our history.
